Santa Monica by Default
Well the car didn’t make it but we did. Turns out the right front brake pads had burned out and it was metal on metal when I braked. So we waited till the next day and combined a trip to LAX with a side trip to the Santa Monica Pier to take photos. This was Sunday morning before the crowd set in.
Took a walk to the end of the pier. Lots of distractions to take in. Liked the “Pier Burger: Last Burger on Land”, police vehicle with a surfboard, displays of vintage Route 66 paraphernalia.
Tomorrow I will put Aidan on a plane back to Michigan. Freddie and I will spend the afternoon with Jess’s family and then early Wednesday we will head back to Hot Springs via IH40.
